Lazy and sleepy afternoon out here near Medicine Library. Weather's cool in here though in the air-con PC cluster room with a spinning boy called Wee Soon beside me. I'm getting dizzy looking at him spinning on his chair... *Whirllll*
What am I still at school?!?! Oh yes, it's the M1 Playhouse production. So what has that got to do with me?!?! Yuppez, was arrowed as the producer by a nice little gal called Janice and she's right now making the props while I'm slacking in here. Haha! So here I am to just hang around and keep tabs on the people and stuff. That's my interpretation of the word 'Producer' and I'm just going to keep on that till someone makes any noise about it. Shhh...
I'm just so sleepy right now, with body metabolism dropping with the minute... *yawnz*
My 1st weekend without Frisbee is coming. There's so many games on Sat and Sun in Bishan Park, right outside my house!!! But nope, I shan't go down. Don't want to be dragged down by the sun, by fatigue and last of all, my studies. It's not been doing well and I shall put a halt to my bad studies run. But how??? When I figure out, I think I will know
Gotta go and appear my face in front of Janice and Denise now... Ciaoz...
| I'm right now in the Med Soc room using the black Dell PC. So COOL!!
Yesterday was a pretty fun day. In the morning, we had Freshmen Inaugration Ceremony in University Cultural Centre. Wow! That place was fantastic! Huge and classy! Makes me wanna join Chinese Drama Group immediately so that I can practice and perform on that way COOL stage! Yup, and what's more, I got a nice black PVC case folder for sleeping through the ceremony. Wow X 2!! Oh yah, it's also quite shocking to find my JC friend who's 3rd in command as the honourary secretary of NUSSU... Yeah! Hope she takes care of little me...
Got to work with kids of TOUCH Thinkers Club in Clementi Pri Sch in the afternoon. Fantastic cute little bunch of kids who just simply make my day with their smiles, laughter and occasional anger and cries! So CUTE! We played many games together and despite the hiccups in administration, where we almost got complained up to principal level, we managed to get the programmes going. The food catered for the kids tasted pretty good and I hope the kids enjoyed the afternoon. There was this cute little girl who even went round saying 'thank you' to all of us before she left. How SWEET!!
Today came an event I hate - NUS Flag Day. Went round Raffles Place, Chinatown and Outram Park to try to get money for the stipulated charities. There were many 'rivals' for $$ and had to see the many 'indifferent and nonchalent' faces of Singaporeans! How disgusting! But it was quite funny to see a woman who tried to find coins to donate but ended up donating $5 instead when she found no coins. How NICE!! Another interesting fact - How come everyone from NUS dispersed from NUS and went to all the crowded areas to fight for $ and left areas like NUS bus stops (oh my god, so near!) and Yew Tee (Tim and gang collected hell lot of coins) free and unturned? Strange Strange!!
Yes, last thing of the night! It's damn heartwarming to see so many flag group people who responded to my despondent call for help to Rag. Now much more things, like backdrops and props, are pretty well done and we can move on to other stuff such as rehersals, touching up minor details, dances and costumes! Well done Med Fac! Hope we can sustain this drive and let us win Presentation for the 4th year running! Guys, keep up the good work and keep turning up! Presentation guys would still need as much help as they can!
Gotta run to 'chop' the carpark lots for tomorrow's Charity Car Wash. Let's pray it does not rain and get the event done with a BANG!
| It's 2.10am now and I'm wondering what I'm doing here instead of sleeping!
Had a wonderful BBQ last night in West Coast Park. I've never been there before and it was my first visit. Ran there with my upper study, Shaofeng, from NUS and it took us abt 30-40 min. Nice scenaries along the way! Like West Coast Park and was quite pleased that it was 'happening' enough with its damn huge playground, damn large field and cosy and cool-looking Macs! But I've only 1 complain...GET RID OF THE TOILETS! It's like visiting Yellow River, literally, with endless streams of toilet bowl water!! Yucks, total turn-off!! Was called the 'duracell bunny' by Greg for training 2 hrs of frisbee, den run with Shaofeng, den teach frisbee at night to OGLs. 'When do you ever stop?'
Yeah!! Today's a pretty good day! Just got news that I was double promoted to brown belt for my karate grading! Think I took a record for double promoting twice (yes, it is my 2nd time in fact) and what's more, to a brown belt! Think no one has done that yet... But I'm wondering if it's a political move by the sensei of the club to get me to black belt soon, be a senior and leave the karate group to our sole charge and he run off to relax?!?!
Today was a weights training day as well, thanks to Diana (my Medicine Councillor), who gave me this damn big pile of notes which i carried around town for 6 hrs! Damn heavy, really damn bloody heavy!! But if it brings me to the Dean's list like my councillor, maybe it's not so bad afterall?!
Muddy Grass, my NUS frisbee club, lost to Swarm , the no. 2 team in Singapore, in 3 straight games today. Score: 1-7, 4-7, 2-7. Could not play the last game because I had to rush off for karate. Though we did not win, we managed to frustrate their team coach, who was damn pissed our team keep breaking their force and marking. Haha! Hey, we practiced that!! Of course we need to apply it against opponents...haha!! Muddy Grass really have a lot of work to do before we can catch up with other clubs. Our handling was not good (I was at fault too, esp for throwing a sure point straight into the ground! Damn pissed!!), we need to work on lots more tactics and our guys need to toughen up mentally and think to win! I scored 2 points though...haha....!
